"Chewing the fat off Obscurity"

Films: Carnivore (2000)

Alias: Carnivore-3, Carnie

Type: Man-made

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Once again, an experiment from the crazier parts of the government goes awry, and the professionals are left dumbfounded that messing with the nastier aspects of nature blew up in their faces again. They outta be lucky they didn't tamper with anything worse than this at the time. For the moment, the danger is minimal but the murders are high.

History: The Carnivore-3 project in a secluded house in a small county in Illinois is a means of finding, in their words, "bigger, better, and more heinous ways to kill people". Alas, the ape-like monster they made broke out of its confines after being stupidly trusted to not do just that when its cage was opened wide. Now, it stalks the house it was cooped up in, looking for reckless folk to eat.

Notable Kills: Kills the main doctor by accidentally shoving a lethal syringe into his chest.

Final Fate: After being confronted, the monster reveals that it can talk, and is rather afraid if anything. Unfortunately, one of the guys guns it down with an uzi, and the beast dies. However, few accounted for its healing factor, and its rampage is far from over...

Powers/Abilities: Seems to be undergoing a constant state of evolution, including healing powers and intelligence.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-For such a low-budget movie, this beast stands out. It is seen ripping victims limb from limb, and it's almost unkillable. At the same time, it's developing a conscious, and when it talks in that raspy voice, one can vaguely detect curiosity and fear in its tone. Perhaps it will learn not to mutilate people so soon.

Trivia: -This film was actually done from 1989-1991, but it would not see the light of day for nearly a decade due to a lack of completion funds. To twist the knife even further, Fox released a version with unfinished sound effects and other goofs.

-This film was also known as "Re-Animated".
